What are thermally broken windows

What are thermally broken windows and doors?

The thermal break in climateguard is created using a plastic strip that sits between the interior and exterior aluminium profiles. This strip minimises the transfer of heat and cold through the aluminium frame, creating an insulation barrier within the window or door frame and significantly improving thermal comfort and performance.

There has been a great deal of concern about creating energy efficient systems in commercial buildings. ClimateGuard window and door systems help maintain an ideal temperature in commercial buildings, thereby reducing the need for artificial heating & cooling and ultimately improving energy efficiency.

The aluminium sections used in ClimateGuard can be anodised or powdercoated to protect from harsh weather conditions including UV damage and corrosion. Speak to our local branch about the Dulux and Interpon powdercoat finishes available in each location.
